Rotary Club of Haney has partnered with School District 42’s District Parent Advisory Council (DPAC) in efforts to support our districts Parent Advisory Council’s (PAC) extra-curricular projects and initiatives. Funds raised will be distributed between participating school’s PAC’s, DPAC and Rotary Club of Haney. All funds raised will benefit students directly in our district.
A few projects underway:
Rotary Club of Haney is fundraising to provide funding for our School Lunch Bag Program, providing lunches to students whose parents don’t have the financial ability to do so, and the Financial Literacy in Entrepreneurship Program where we teach the students these skills.
Whonnock Elementary PAC – Playground Enhancement Fundraiser. “Help us to create a wilderness of whimsy and wonder.”
Westview will be raising funds to enhance the clubs and activities that are near and dear to our students and enhance their sense of community and belonging. Every year we have passionate students that come to us with amazing ideas, and we want to see their vision become a reality.
Yennadon elementary is raising funds to help with costs for much needed extracurricular classroom items and outdoor upgrades.
Alouette Elementary will be raising funds towards building an inclusive playground.
Fundraising towards the Glenwood Elementary School playground as it is reaching the end of its life lifecycle and is needing replacement.
